Gabriella’s Story

Site created on October 23, 2021

On Sunday October 17th Gabriella was involved in an accident. She was hit by a car while crossing the street and has been in the Neuro ICU at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles ever since. While she is stable, she is sedated on a ventilator and sustained multiple injuries including an epidural hematoma, tib fib fracture, multiple broken ribs, among other fractures, lacerations and injuries. She is a fighter and her prognosis is good, but she has a very long road to recovery ahead of her. The outpouring of love and support we have received has been amazing and we cannot thank everyone enough. We will be using this site to keep everyone up to date on Gabriella’s course and ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Stephen Tranchina

Hi everyone I know it’s been a while but just wanted to provide a quick update. Gabriella is having another surgery today on her eye. This is a scheduled procedure and she will likely be able to go home after, but I just wanted to give this quick update so everyone could send her good luck and good vibes! Recovery will be several weeks and will almost certainly present challenges, but we are hoping for a good outcome. I’m writing this as I round in the trauma ICU which is a reminder of how long of a road this has been and how lucky we are that Gabriella is still with us. Please keep her in your thoughts today as she undergoes her another surgery!
