God is MOVING!

Our sweet son, Gabe, had a very serious accident on Sunday August 9th.   He dove off a dock into shallow water on Forest Lake injuring his neck.  He was unconscious and pulseless needing CPR which was performed promptly by a friend and soon after by first responders.  He was airlifted to HCMC where it was determined he had a cervical neck fracture at c3 c4 as well as bilateral vertebral artery dissections.  He underwent emergency neck stabilization surgery.  The prognosis was very grave from the beginning. He had not moved nor woke up since the accident. After 12 days of hospitalization and no improvement, Gabe entered the donate life program. He ultimately gave his life and donated his organs to several whose lives were saved on Aug 21st. We are so blessed by Gabe’s life and praise and thank God for him.

There is so much more to tell about Gabe's story, there is a beginning, a middle, and a conclusion which is still being written.  Gabriel, for which he is named, truly is a messenger of God!  We are overwhelmed by the amount of prayers and love from all his friends and family.  Thank you!  Please leave comments- we so want to hear them.

Journal entry by Kurt Walstrom

Today is Gabe's birthday.  It is a grayer day than usual.  Here is another song I wrote.   Still pretty cringeworthy and amateur .    Maybe someone can relate.
Thank you all for clicking the link to come here and to the listen to the song and most importantly for loving Gabe and our family.
