Rust’s Story

Site created on July 30, 2021

This is CK (aka Leila) and I am using this site to keep Rust's family and friends updated in real time.

Rust went to the hospital July 19th. He was experiencing some mental confusion that we think was caused by his medication. He's also been challenged with side effects from the prostate cancer treatment he underwent last year and is now in rehab where he's receiving physical and occupational therapy to help him regain his strength.

He came home on August 11th and I will update this site as often as I can and let you know  what our needs are.

Rust will appreciate your letters and cards, phone calls, and, if you’re vaccinated, in-person visits.

I have moved in until he fully recovers and will need your support too! Please check in with the Planner to sign up for a visit.

Pack it in - pack it out. Please bring your own cup, plate, bowl, and utensils.
