That was such a beautiful tribute to your mom & dad. You all were very lucky to have them as your parents. They loved you all so much. They will be missed by so many . They can be seen in each one of you. My husband, Pat Browne, used to walk to lunch with your dad , often, & Pat used to say, “ We’ll, if this isn’t the blind leading the blind I don’t know what is!” They got a big laugh out of that! They were so loved by everyone who knew them.

Here are three more one-liners from her time at the Cal-a-Vie spa:
Virginia came to lunch with her hair awry, due to exercising and massage. Fran took one look at her and said "Thanks for not making me feel so bad."
When the Villere tribe left during mid-week one year, Ann said how much they would be missed and Fran said "We New Orleans people can't go more than four days without our alcohol."
And one day, a propos of nothing, she looked at me and said, "I'm going to give you the name of my face doctor."
Wow Lamar! You should be a speech writer, although writing about your mom must have been easy with with so much material. Fran was such an inspiration to me and I can only try to emulate her. BTW I thought she was funny too! ;)

Your eulogy was so wonderful. The Mass was special. Your parents were blessed to have such wonderful children . They both were also very special.

Lamar - Thank you so much for sharing this. It made me very sad but it reminded me of the many wonderful times Bill and I had with them. They were both very special and will be greatly missed.
