It's probably been too long since we updated you all on mom. She is still at Coos Nursing Home. Healthwise, she is pretty stable but is still struggling with global aphasia from her stroke which means communicating is hard. She has been downhearted and a bit lonely, so cards, calls and visits are encouraged from anyone who is able & vaccinated!

They will bring mom a phone. You may not be able to understand her words but hearing friendly voices has a positive impact!

The current protocol for visits is to stop in the front entryway and fill out a covid self-assessment. You will need to take one of their masks and a face shield to wear. Take the elevator to the third floor. Stop at the nurses station to give them your covid assessment. Visits must be in mom's room. Again, only vaccinated visitors, please.
