Frank’s Story

Site created on November 18, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting the site. On November 15th, Frank was helping a friend with some tree trimming when a rope he was pulling on came undone and he fell, hitting his head on concrete. Frank was initially feeling okay, but by Tuesday afternoon, his condition had declined and he was transported to KU Medical Center by ambulance.  Frank was found to have two brain bleeds, one in his frontal lobe and another in his left temporal lobe. Recent imaging has shown that the bleeding has stopped and Frank is currently stable, but is continuing to be monitored in the ICU. Because of the location of the injury, Frank is currently experiencing a lot of confusion and difficulty with language. It will be a long road to recovery, and we ask that you keep Frank in your prayers. As we learn more information, we will post updates on this site.
