Frank’s Story

Site created on August 22, 2019

In early August 2019, Frank was brought into the hospital after prolonged difficulty keeping food/drinks down . His condition had worsened to the point he could not even keep water down and was losing weight exponentially . After being admitted and a battery of tests, Frank was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Celina Femiano

Sorry there hasn't been an update but up until recently we were just going through the motions of chemo and what not. Unfortunately, recently my dad recieved a PET scan to see if the chemo was working and results showed it is not. Although the esophageal mass hasn't really grown in size, the cancer has metastasized in his bones far more than the the previous scan. The recent scan showed small masses in the bones all over his body. So next step is plan B and I'll update as we know more. But as for now, my dad will recieve radiation on his left clavicle where the fracture is in hopes of eliminating some of the pain he is experiencing there.

Thanks for everyone's support and please keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers!

PS I will try to keep everyone as updated as possible but please be patient with me. I'll be starting Nursing School in 2 weeks.
