Father Tighe, I often recall an image of you celebrating an afternoon Missa Cantata at St Joseph's (January 26, 2019), with rays of sunlight streaming through the clouds of incense. The reverence and beauty of that moment continues to give me incredible peace and encouragement of how loved we are by Our Blessed Lord. May He reward you greatly for being His Priest, and the Shepherd you have always been to all of us, especially when Catholic men (young and old) need role models we can relate to. You are always in my family's prayers.
Peace of Christ,

Dear Fr Tighe,

I am writing to share my gratitude for your past mentorship and my prayers for your strength and peace. Your friendship while you were a seminarian at OLL and I was in the youth group there was a true grace in my life. You helped open my eyes to the gifts God had given me and how I could use them for his greater glory. I am sorry to have been out of touch these years since, but I have always remembered with gratitude your counsel and guidance. May God bless you in this new stage of your pilgrimage on earth and comfort you with the knowledge of his abiding presence now and always.

Sincerely,
Andrew

Dear Fr. Tighe,
My John never ceases to be amazed by you recalling him when he saw you on occasion. Probably because he sold your church his products when he worked for ZEP.

I remember hearing the words of St John Paul saying He lifted up His suffering to the Lord. I feel confident you have done the same over the years you have traveled in your journey fighting your battle. I will always hold you dear to my heart remembering your kindness and compassion when you took time for me after a daily mass 11yrs ago after we had lost our grandson, Stephen just after his 16th birthday when he took his life. There is and always will be a hole in my heart for him as it will be when you leave us to be with our Father in heaven. You have touched countless people in your life, especially during your ministry. Our dear friends Marlene and Tom Anton only to name one of the many.
Peace be with you my special friend. The softness of your voice will always be in my heart with the memories of you speaking with genuine kindness. Thank you seems so inefficient to express my feelings but as my father use to say I know you are able to "read between the lines".

Love.....Sibyl

Dear Father Tighe,
Thank you for your update on your journey to unite your will to the will of the Father. The picture you posted says it all....you are a fisher of men guided by the Holy Spirit.....at home on the water.
Praying that the Holy Spirit guides all of the healthcare workers to minister to you in this stage of the journey. Thankful for your constant example of obedience and trust in our beloved Savior. May your days be peaceful and may the loving embrace of our Lord surround you. We pray for you daily

"None of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's" (Rom 14:7-8). Dying to the Lord means experiencing one's death as the supreme act of obedience to the Father (cf. Phil 2:8), being ready to meet death at the "hour" willed and chosen by him (cf. Jn 13:1) You are loved beyond measure. The Carter Family :)

Dear Father, You are such an inspiration to so many. Thank you for being such a influential mentor to Sean over the years. Your spiritual guidance has supported his strong faith and enriched all of our family's lives. (Sean arranged his college class schedule to ensure he can attend daily Mass.) Personally, I will always remember the meaningful phone call you made to me when you learned that I was was planning and praying over the readings for my father's funeral Mass as he was living with terminal cancer. You gave me advice that I found to be so true: No matter how much you prepare for it, you are never "ready" when someone you love passes away. That advice gave me such comfort both before and after my father passed. I wish there was a way I could offer you a hug in a written message and effectively tell you how much you mean to me and our family. You are in our daily prayers and hearts. (Thank you for sharing the fantastic pictures!)

Fr. Tighe,
I pray the Holy Spirit gives you peace in your mind, body and Soul during this phase of your journey. I ask for God’s Mercy for you and peace in knowing you have led the good life as His Servant. You have given your all for Christ Jesus and shown us the love of Jesus Christ through you. Thank you for the several years I knew you through your involvement in the retreats and as Pastor of St Catherine of Siena Church. You lifted me up at a time when I was in need of prayer and understanding. You drew me closer to Jesus Christ and I thank you with all my heart. May God Bless you, Father, and keep you for all eternity!
