Praying for you daily, Fr. Tighe, and especially tonight on the eve of your surgery. I'm looking forward to hearing that it was a success, and that you're on the road to a full recovery. St. Peregrine pray for you.

Dear Fr. Tighe,

As I make my commute this morning south to Benson Mine and my families prayers are traveling with you north to Pittsburgh. I’m reminded of those beautiful tapestries you see in the halls of ancient castles made For the king by his people. It is as if the threads of prayer penetrate the tapestry from one end to the other. One end of the tapestry needing extra care and patchwork in a sense, Painful needling. Necessary for the beauty of the entire tapestry, But made all the more beautiful by the threads of love and prayers that come from all directions. As your next stages of healing come with great suffering and at times may seem to be A confusing set of loose threads like on the back of that tapestry, try to remember the beautiful handiwork our generous and merciful creator has in store for us all on the front of that tapestry for the halls of his kingdom.

So seldom do we get to see the work of the Master through the threads of our prayers, in such a miraculous way. Thank you Father for strengthening our faith by your example and by sharing all of your trials and blessings of this past year.

In and through Christ,

Dan
