Fr Tigue,
You are written in our book of prayer intentions. God's will be done. You are strong and your faith will get you through this to the other side of it. Looking back there will be a miraculous answer to all these prayers. While we do not know his will, we know what he wants for us and we want nothing but to do his will.
The scriptures of the day today include Psalm 149:1 Sing to the Lord a new song of praise in the assembly of the faithful.
The psalmist remind us to sing for joy. I recall your constant singing and I know he is calling for a joyful heart even in this time of uncertainty and yes pain, worry and fear. God wins this battle. Be forever joyful.

This Caring Bridge is a great vehicle for your journey.

You are in the best place! Glad you’re coming home, though! My brother with pancreatic cancer goes to the same place as you and after three years he’s still doing well. I am the one who talked to you at St. Mary’s before mass about my dog passing. You talked about yours and both our dogs had the same symptoms. Also, you had my husband come to your house to be anointed because he has melanoma. You have been a positive experience to both of us. We both pray that your journey will be blessed!

Dear Father and brother, know that you are in all of my prayers. I promise extra prayers and a special remembrance in every Mass I offer. I will post a prayer request on our seminary prayer board, and will ask the Carmelite nuns to pray as well.
Benedicamus Domino!

Fr. Tighe, if you have to do chemo, look at the positive - yes you will lose weight and won’t need a haircut. You also won’t have to shave every morning, either. WOO HOO NO RAZOR!! Chuck and I are praying and offering up Rosaries for you. God will hold you in his hand. Take heart and know that you are loved.
