Fr. Dave will always hold a special place in our hearts. He renewed my husband’s faith and baptized all of our children. He was the real deal, and we still miss him.

Amy and family, I came across a photo of Fr Dave blessing us on Ascension's bus leaving for the Right-to-Life March some year. Are you interested in having it?

Fr. Dave was the reason we returned often to Immaculate Conception after our first visit even though we lived a distance away! My first and fondest memory of him was when we moved to Washington Township from CT and needed a late Sunday Mass. Fr. Dave was discussing his grieving process for his mother and how hard it was for him. He touched our hearts as we had just lost my 103 yr. old Mom. I wrote to Fr. Dave and asked if there was a copy of his homily for that Sunday. His warm response and attachment of his notes is very dear to me. I still have them and will keep them. He was a special priest and a special person and I miss seeing and hearing him. Thank you so much for including the picture and for giving us an opportunity to honor him on his First Anniversary.

My Dearest Fr. Dave,
Happy 1st Anniversary in heaven. I know you are very happy now, especially being with our God!
I have so many memories with Fr. Dave! I loved his homilies and the great messages that came along with them.
He mentored and consoled me, especially after he buried my 15-1/2 year old son, Brandon in 2004. I was inconsolable and with his speeches/reminders about our Unbelievably Loving God I felt comforted. He taught me so much, and I thank God every day for him.
I love and miss our beautiful Fr. Dave each and every day.
I have two angels watching over me, my dearest Fr. Dave and my darling son, Brandon! God chose two of the best and I thank him for the opportunity to spend many years with both of them. I have a picture of my Brandon and Fr. Dave hanging in my living room.
Thank you, Amy for always keeping us informed about Fr. Dave during his pancreatic cancer journey!
I love and miss you, Fr. Dave!
Irene

Amy thank you for posting!
When we left Texas I was worried about finding a new priest- Fr Dave exceeded my expectations-he is one of the best Priests I’ve ever known!! He did have the face of Christ!! I have only been to confession once since he left us- he was calming- one day after a function I said Fr Dave when I look at you I see Christ and he said”as it should be “I feel very honored to have seen his home!! I have his picture up so when I see it I feel comforted-again thank you Amy!!

I can't believe how this year has flown by. Even so, with all the turmoil in the world, one need only picture Fr.Dave's smiling face, and twinkling eyes, to know all will be okay. He had the most calming affect on people. I totally enjoyed his look of contentment when listening to the readings during mass. He was always the most humble and serene person, I had ever known. I am so glad I got to live during his times, and could count him as a friend.
