Hi Fr. Dave. Happy Birthday!! A beautiful blue sky sun-shining VERY HOT day for a birthday. You share the same day as my father who was born in 1909. He passed in 1992 after many bed- ridden years. He taught me a lot about how a person lives their faith and stands up for what they believe even when it is not popular . He taught me how to get out of my comfort zone as I helped my mom , along with my sisters and brothers, care for him during his last years . He taught me how to trust that no matter what the situation God is walking with me or even sometimes carrying me thru it all. You too have taught me a lot over the years and especially how you have so beautifully shared your journey with your cancer and all the thoughts, feelings, fears, and pain and faith and trusting God's love, companionship and faithfulness and your unstoppable spirit of living life as fully as possible and your love , friendship and service to all of us! Thank you!! You have inspired me in so many ways and opened my mind , heart and spirit! "Sieze the Day" Sending love and prayers your way.
