Father Dave,
You won’t remember me. But,I have never forgotten you. I was a young teen in the ‘70s when you were a priest at St Ann’s in Grosbeck. You were such a kind and caring shepherd. I felt lost at that time. My daddy had died a few years earlier and I was struggling to find solace. The youth group and guitar masses drew me in. You were the voice I needed to hear. I thank you and and God for the life line you provided. Nothing happens by accident. God put you in my life so I could experience His love and peace. Thank you. I feel you were instrumental in saving my life and ultimately my soul. Now,years later, I hear your story from my old neighbor,Beth. Beth and I grew up together on Sheldon Drive. Sheldon was a short walk to St Ann’s. It is funny how Beth and I are brought back together, as friends, because we both knew you. I am very glad to have the opportunity to speak to you again. I am sorry you are going through this. I hope ,as you read this, you realize what a tremendous gift you are to the people around you. God puts us where He wants us to be. You are a gift and a blessing. I am grateful. God’s blessings for you Father Dave. You led be to Him. Thank you.I will follow you once more❤️❤️❤️

Duff,
Sorry to here about the set backs, hopefully all the prayers coming your way will lighten your journey. You continue to teach us through example how to live, die and serve the Lord. Hope you feel the ❤️.
Oh Fr. Dave, love you to eternity and back.
So grateful for Michael to be a server for you when you were at Ascension last month. We had no idea you would be the officiant that Sunday. Cried the whole Mass. Not because of sadness, but rather the pure joy of seeing your radiant light for God one more time. And those sparkly blue eyes of course!
I smile ever time I think of you, and keep you in our prayers daily.
Love, love, love you!

Father Dave,
You give so many gifts in each of your posts (not to mention your most recent homily at IC)! I am so grateful for them. I am learning so much from you and seeing gifts (especially in response to this post about friendship) in my life better and better.
Always blessed to hear from you. I hope that football sized bulge was a Bengal football! Wishing you a very happy birthday and many days of strength and healing. Continued prayers Father.
