Newest Update

Journal entry by Sean Foster

Hi All,

It's been quite a while since my last update, mainly due to the reality of our new (awful) life/world kicking in around us.

Quite a lot has continued to happen over the last few months, with regards to Henry and I'll post a few updates to bring everyone up to speed.

Firstly the "Henry Foster 7's Tournament @ Hymers College" was a great success in July with ~200 Players Registered and around 700-750 watching - unbelievable support in such a short space of time to organise it.

Thanks to Hymers College for their impeccable grounds, Fin Ulrick, Theo Richardson, Owen Day, Will Atkinson for organising - and, of course, Paul Cooke for excellent Tournament Management throughout.

Inevitably, it was an ALL Sedbergh Final - with some unbelievable talent on display - including an overwhelming crowd at "Pearson's" on Princes Ave afterward to raise a glass or two.

We are already in talks for next year's Tournament - and, following the OS vs Anti-Assassins game two weeks ago - some great interest shown from Rascal's 7's and others - so watch out Sedbergh - other teams are coming!!!!

One of the highlights for me were the speeches and, of course, the absolutely fantastic Bench - made and donated by Adam Rostron of ADR Fabrications.  Simply beautiful bench, with exactly the same message that will be going on the Crossbar at The Tomlinson Stadium for the CWU Wildcats in the New Year:

"Henry "Foz" Foster:  Live your Dreams ~ Create Memories, Go Big or Go Home"

I've attached some photos of the event program and bench and will follow up with others as I find them.

Next update to follow
