I have been where you are---I also have a wonderful family--and a caring God. Your attitude through all of this has been courageous and Godly. Something that helped me was to just 'do the next thing'. Prayers for all of you.

Elaine, thanks for your honest words. The service yesterday was beautiful, a great reminder of the man that Floyd was and a reminder of the bond that you two shared. We especially enjoyed Brian's story of your guys cooking up hamburgers...you have a great family!!! My heart aches for you as the journey of grief is hard and takes time. As you have already experienced, God is our rock, He is sovereign, and He is faithful (as you said). As you know, those words won't make the pain any less, but they are a comfort!!! Our prayers will continue...you are loved!!!
