Fisher’s Story

Site created on August 20, 2021

On Monday, August 16th, 2021, Fisher Pritchett was admitted to the Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olsen Children’s Hospital in Macon, GA. At that time, Fisher was severely anemic, and the doctors needed further testing to find out what was causing the anemia. Fisher received two blood transfusions and was also diagnosed with COVID-19.

On Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 doctors proceeded to complete a bone marrow retrieval to evaluate the tissue quality in Fisher’s bone.

On Thursday, August 19th, 2021 the Pritchett family gathered to meet with the specialists taking care of Fisher. It was at this time that Fisher was officially diagnosed with B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The treatment for this type of Leukemia will involve several rounds of chemotherapy over the next two years. He will receive his first round on Monday, August 23rd 2021. Fisher is in good spirits and will continue to battle this illness with strength, courage, and love from his friends and family.

We ask that you continue to keep Fisher and the Pritchett family in your thoughts and prayers. Chris and Christina are thankful to all of those who have reached out regarding this strong and courageous little boy.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
