Father Michael’s Story
On April 10th, 2018 Father Michael Wagner was admitted to St. Joseph Medical Center after a catastrophic brain bleed. Currently, he is on life support and his condition remains stable, but unchanged. The family requests ongoing prayer, and hopes that friends and family will continue to visit Father Michael and pray at his bedside.

If you would like to visit Father Michael, please be mindful of patients and hospital staff, and limit your visit to 10-15 minutes. Also, please be aware that only two visitors are allowed in Father Michael's room at one time.

Please feel free to post prayers & messages of support on this page, and share the link to anyone who would like updates. This webpage will be updated daily, Monday through Friday, please do not call the Hospital for updates.

Good Afternoon Family & Friends of Father Wagner,

Father Michael Wagner is stable, recovering slowly, but is very tired.

The family asks that people do not visit at this time, as Father Michael needs to rest.

Please continue to pray and keep him in your prayers.

Dear Father,

I own some property that surrounds Marymount Hermitage, here in the high desert of west central Idaho. A couple of your priest friends are here on retreat till May 1st - Father Ed White and Father Mel. We are all including you in our prayers and Mass intentions for your recovery. After all, Jesus is talking about shepherds this week and I understand that you are a good one so don't die on us. We sheeple need a loving and caring voice to lead us home so stick around and show us the way.

I just received a response from Father Stanisław Tomoń, OSPPE, the head of the Press Office at Jasna Gora Monastery of the shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Czestochowa, Poland.  The Pauline Fathers at the shrine will also be praying for Father Wagner.  I have pasted the email message below:

Your e-mail we have just sent to Father Kustosz. [Father Ignacy Rękawek, the Custos of Monastery] We will be pray, too!  God bless you.  Father Stanley

Through my work in the field of ecumenism, I have become acquainted with two Polish bishops.  The following are their responses to my emails:

In response on your message, with my home’s community I am joining in prayers for fr Michael Wagner asking God through intercession the servant of God Stefan Kard. Wyszyński for the health for him in the hope that our Lord will help him in his sickness.  + Archbishop Henryk J. Muszyński

I can assure you of my prayer for Father Michael Wagner.   +Krzysztof Nitkiewicz

Dear family of Father Wagner, You have been in my thoughts and prayers in addition to my prayers for him. May each of your Guardian Angels aid you as you journey through this tragedy. May our Blessed Mother comfort you and our sweet Lord carry you as much as you need. Father Michael has been such a blessing to many including me and my family. Having him in our lives for even a short time will never be forgotten. God bless you all. Your sister in Christ, Suzanne Lindergren. Our Lady of the Holy Rosary parishioner.
