Farrell’s Story

Hello family and friends, welcome to our CaringBridge site. We would like to use this platform to share updates with each other, offer greetings and prayers, share happy memories, or photos.


Since his 2017 bladder cancer diagnosis, Farrell’s health and strength has had some ups and downs. We’ve enjoyed family gatherings, celebrated birthdays and holidays, and even traveled across the country. But over the past few weeks his body has been slowing down. On April 24th, he started on hospice care so that he could take advantage of the at-home treatment that will help relieve the pain and discomfort he’s been feeling. Celeste has been an incredible caregiver to him. It’s a rare and beautiful thing to witness the love and commitment they have for each other.


During this particularly challenging time we want, more than ever, to express our love and support and to uplift each other as a family. We look forward to reading the messages you post on this site as well as phone calls and text messages. Thank you for showering him and Celeste with love, prayers and uplifting words.

My dear Farrell,  it's been 4 months today. Yes, I count...

We made it through Thanksgiving, we made it through Christmas and we'll make it through the new year and on into the next and the next. No matter how I spend my days, no matter what I do...I always include you.

I feel you close to me, like we are still "doing life" together. I talk to you, I dance with you...I miss you.
