Just add another detail, it turns out that the three pathology labs were all looking at different slides. Sloan Kettering said they thought the cancer had spread, but when that slide was re-evaluated by a trusted colleague in Long Beach she disagreed. She stated once again that on both sets of slides she does not see the spread of cancer. So now the slides are going to M.D. Anderson for another opinion. Good news is that my new Tucson oncologist was trained at M.D. Anderson. Funny thing after raising a little heck on the phone this morning to get things moving after no communication for several weeks, I got another call from my Long Beach oncologist. She stated they noticed two things on the original MRI that need following up, which was done this past June. They are requesting I get a MRI of my pancreas and a renal ultrasound. The fun never stops!. Thanks for all the prayers and kindness. Special thanks to Claire who has connected me with all kinds of medical specialist with great reputations here.
