Journal entry by Claire Ghanooni —
Hi everyone!
Mom got moved to Tucson over the holiday weekend. Much thanks to the efforts of Loretta, Jonathan, Janet, David Byrne and Dave Farrell! The moving company from California still has not arrived with her smaller belongings, decor, etc. but should be here by the 21st.
Yesterday she got established with a lovely cardiologist in town. On Monday she meets her new highly-recommended oncologist, Dr. Hallum. We have transferred all the medical records from California and the pathology reports from all over the country to his office.
Dr. Penner, Mom's California oncologist, has been a poor communicator. After much effort, we found out that the pathology reports from the hospitals contradicted each other, so the question of chemotherapy is still up in the air. Dr. Penner said she would reach out to the different pathologists to discuss their results but we still have not heard back.
I will keep you in the loop after next week's visit.
