Journal entry by Faith Willett

Tommorrow will be my 21st chemo treatment. At the beginning of the year I was really debating continuing treatment due to a few reasons.
1. The financial struggle.
2. The effect chemo does to me. It is a aggressive chemo for an aggressive cancer. Without chemo I will die.
So I took my last 5 thousand dollars and applied it to my 1st treatment after days of crying. Asking myself am I making the right decision?
I don't want to pass away and leave my husband with the financial burden of a service. It's bad enough he is going to have to to file bankrupt on all the medical Bill's once I am gone.
As many of you know I am unable to work. Trust me, I'd rather work anyday. I miss feeling important, and miss meeting new people daily.

2 days later, I finally received news that I have been approved for SSA. That's all the money I've put into social security throughout the years of working.
It has taken 5 months to get approved. And another month for my 1st check. Feb 15th.

Stage IV Gastric Cancer isn't 1 of their top 10 for instant help. This needs to change.
Stomach Cancer is #5 deadliest cancer in today's world. (Linits Plastica) being one of the most aggressive.

People tell me all the time, "if I didn't know you, I'd never think you have cancer"
That makes me feel wonderful, and if your seeing me it means I'm up to try to be my best for that day.
I'm just like everyone else in the world. I want to look my best, feel my best, and enjoy life to the fullest. My best just looks different than it use to be.

Have a great day!
