Journal entry by Erika Johnson —
I have not updated this page in a very long time, but today is a momentous day. Faith is getting her last spinal tap and has only 16 more days of oral chemo left! Cliff and I flew to LA and drove to Santa Barbara to accompany Faith to her last hospital appointment. Her counts look great and we discussed with her doctor her follow up appointments, which will be every two months to check counts and liver function (since chemo can affect the liver). Faith has been amazing throughout this ordeal and has been able to live life to the fullest. She is so involved at UCSB and her grades are stellar. I don’t know how she does all that she does. This entire experience has changed our lives but has also given us a better perspective on what is truly important. We are certainly the beneficiaries of all the research that has come before us, improving the odds of survival for leukemia patients. And while the odds are in her favor, there are no guarantees. That is why I continue to fundraise for the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research and am currently the captain of Team Faith in the Rally Challenge. I would appreciate any donations you could give to this endeavor. Thank you to all of you who have followed Faith’s journey and prayed for her over these past two and a half years.

A $25 donation powers a page like Faith's for two weeks.
If you donate by April 17, your gift will doubled, thanks to a matching gift by former CaringBridge board members.
