Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We've created it to keep friends and family updated about our loved one. Get started by reading the introduction to our website, My Story.

My name is Ethan Puhalsky.  I am 17 years old and a senior at Norton High School.  I was 6 1/2 years old when I was first diagnosed with Leukemia.  After 3 1/2 years of treatment, I successfully went into remission.   I participate in Cross Country, Track, Key Club and Church youth group at Grace Church.  I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, playing pick up games in basketball (especially beating my older brother).  As of November 10, 2021, my Leukemia has returned.  I beat this before with the help of family and friends and I WILL again!

Newest Update

Journal entry by Dawn Puhalsky

Today is day +70 post-transplant and day 79 in the hospital and we are finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.  Ethan's CMV is finally coming down.  They have started the process of transitioning him to be discharged home.  The team is shooting for next Tuesday.  They will be weaning some of his meds down and will be reviewing what his plan of care will look like at home.  We do know that he will be going to the hospital twice a week to get bloodwork, etc., but the remaining details will be discussed with his transplant team prior to discharge.  My posts will most likely diminish (unless something arises) .... no news is good news :) Thank you everyone for all of the prayers and support!!
