Hello, everyone!
I know it's been too long since we updated. SO much has happened in the past few weeks, much of it encouraging, uplifting and overwhelmingly positive. I have been a bad Auntie Regan in terms of updating everyone on the amazing results of Ethan's fundraiser, organized by his former teachers, and about his joyous Easter weekend, when he was finally able to celebrate his 4th birthday after many, many delays. There is much for which to be thankful.
Last week Ethan had another scan and another round of five-day, inpatient chemotherapy. The scan is clear!!!, chemo went well and Ethan is back home recovering. He still has a slate of chemotherapy ahead that will take him into the summer months, at least. Treatment largely continues to be rough and our little superhero has a hard time keeping his appetite up, but being home really helps. So continued prayers that all goes according to plan and that he continues to hold strong and steady.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Everyone has been so, so, so very generous in their financial gifts and we continue to be humbled by all the many kindnesses extended to Ethan and his family throughout the past few months, especially. What the family needs most right now is the gift of time.
Ethan's daddy, Mark, needs donated leave. He would like to be able to be with Ethan during these last four rounds of chemo and post recovery. The deadline to donate leave is Friday, April 20, and time is running out.
Anyone who works for a state agency can donate shared leave.
I have attached an image of the Voluntary Shared Leave Donation Form that you can get from your state agency.
If you would like to donate leave, complete the form, indicating that you would like to donate time to the account of
