Eric’s Story

Site created on June 29, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Eric was diagnosed with stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma the week before we left on vacation. He has a two-centimeter mass in his upper right lung lobe, and he's got something he affectionately refers to as George integrated into his left shoulder around the armpit area about the size of a medium bar of soap. He had lots of tests and scans and probes when we got back from vacation, and the doctors have determined the best course of action is to start with chemo.

Please keep our family in your prayers.

Journal entry by Sandy Bechard

We had an oncology visit on Tuesday. It looks like the cancer is responding to the current chemo treatment. Thank God for answered prayers . Doctor said we can continue this treatment until the side effects become counterproductive. He said usually 4 to 6 months. It is not a cure but it gives us a little more time which we are very thankful for. Eric is having chemo treatment today and we are planning a visit to Fargo next Friday, April 12th until Wednesday. If you are in the area and want to visit give us a call. Thank you for everyone's continued prayers and supports wee appreciate it.
