I am heartbroken to share that Eric passed away on March 2nd after a valiant battle with brain cancer.

 

Ever the host, Eric would want to have everyone gather at our house to celebrate his life. We have chosen July 9th as the date to memorialize this amazing man, giving me time to whip the yard into shape and family time to make travel arrangements. I will make details available as the date approaches.

 

We, his family, are grateful that he went peacefully but there is a giant Eric-shaped hole in our lives. He had an impact on so many with his humor, love, and sense of adventure.

I ask this because talking about him and hearing stories is keeping Eric alive for me and because he deserves to be remembered for all the amazing, wonderful, goofy things he did. His life was cut much too short, but what a life he led.
