Dear Susan & Family, it wasn't until yesterday that I was told about Enrique's passing. It took me a while to accept the harsh reality, it really hit me way deep in my heart. Enrique was a wonderful person and a wonderful friend. I have so many great memories as a coworker and as a friend. He was also a funny guy. He had a saying that I will never forget and I use once in a while, "Los hijos de alguna gente." He used to tell me that when someone would do something crazy. I also remember that he used to tell coworkers from MN traveling to Puerto Rico to follow the town "Salida" in order to arrive to the Medtronic facility in Humacao. I thought that was very funny. In any case, I am very, very sorry, and I deeply regret that I didn't follow up on meeting with him for lunch a couple of years ago. We take so many things for granted. I miss him! Although I am sure that losing Enrique was very painful, I am also sure that you had the support and love from family and friends you needed to bear the pain during the difficult time.

Take care,
Edgardo Cordero

Hi Susan. I worked with Enrique at Nuwellis (former CHF Solutions). Enrique had an unmatched ability to lighten up the mood of the team with his optimism and always positive outlook on life. He mentioned his family in the conversations periodically and always looked forward to having a good time on vacation trips. Our whole team at Nuwellis greatly misses Enrique as we are continuing to work on the pediatric project that he started. We have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Vitaliy

Hi Susan. You may not remember me. We met at our class reunion in Puerto Rico in 2008. Enrique and Frank Dominguez are some of the closest friends I had growing up. Some of the best times in my childhood and youth were spent with Enrique, Frank, the Coll twins, José Diaz and Yolanda Caro. We were a tight group of friends. I am deeply sorry about Enrique’s passing. He was very loved by his childhood friends. All the best to you and your family. Vivian Tió-Killoran.
