Emma’s Story

Site created on October 8, 2018

Welcome to Emma's Caring Bridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Emma was born  in 1936 in Onida, South Dakota. She is the 9th child of ten and is the only one still with us. We look forward to Mom hugging Christ in heaven and  reuniting with her brothers and sisters. Dad is engaged with our help in keeping her happy and comfortable, which she is. Mom is love, pure and simple. Please share your thoughts, stories, and most importantly your prayers as we hoist Mom into heaven.

Journal entry by mike schramm

On behalf of Dad and with a heavy heart, but in great peace, I write to report that God called Mom home on Jan 1st, at 5:20pm.

Mom passed in deep spiritual peace, sleeping, pain free, and surrounded with love. Nearly all of her family made it to Denver in time to say goodbye and were with her. All others got to speak to Mom via phone.

Mom's special beauty and grace will forever shine on. It is particularly appropriate that she passed into paradise on the Solemnity of Mary, Holy Mother of God. We are forever blessed to have called her mom.

Arrangements are as follows:
Tuesday, Jan 8
Viewing at 6:30pm, rosary at 7pm at
Newcomer - West Metro Chapel
901 S Sheridan Blvd
Lakewood CO

Wed, Jan 9
Funeral mass at 11am, reception and procession to Littleton cemetery, following.
Light of the World Roman Catholic Church
10316 W. Bowles Ave.
Littleton CO

Thanks for the outpouring of love and support during her hospice journey.
