To family and friends of Emily, I sincerely apologize for not attending Emily's service today. Somehow my internet directions skewed my whole sense of direction and I drove for 3 hours trying all sorts of routes, hoping to find the church by happen stance. I am very sad to have missed the celebration of her life. She was a unique gift to our humanity.

Thank you Cindy for keeping us all posted on Emily’s memorial. This will be a day to remember our precious Emily. I just can not stop thinking about her. I had no idea the impact she left on my life. Working in her classroom all those years I’m so blessed to have been a part of that. Emily was such a character. Always happy and loved to laugh. She always brought so much joy to all of us. I’m sure she continued to spread her joy once she left Hilltop. Every time I saw her after that or talked to her on Facebook she was always smiling or she was always asking how I was doing. She truly cared about what I was up to. Then she would tell me what she was doing. She was so proud of her photography. She sent me so many of her photos, which were amazing. What a talent that girl had. Cindy I’m so sorry for what you and your family are going through. You brought this little tiny baby into your home and raised her into this amazing young lady. For everything Emily had to endure she always knew her family was there for her no matter what. Cindy and family, Thank you for Emily. I will never forget her.
