Whew!!! What a week it’s been! As you all know Elliot received his T-cell infusion on March 6th, and did really well until Saturday night when he started to run a fever. I took him into the E.R.; where he was admitted to CHOP. Saturday - Monday Elliot was running a fever, at one point reaching 104.
Once he woke up on Monday, his temperature averaged about 102 until Tuesday morning. They ran a lot of blood tests, and it showed that he was inflamed which indicated that he was in “CRS “storm. After being confused a tad bit on Tuesday he seem to make a complete turnaround by Wednesday and was able to be released from the hospital. PTL 🙏
We came home from the hospital Wednesday evening, and he had a follow up appointment with the doctors today. His counts all appear to be great, and he did not need an infusion. At this point we are hoping that he is over the hurdle, however, he will still need to be monitored down here by the CAR-T team in Philly and we are here until April 11th!
Thank you everyone for your prayers, and supports!!!
