With great pride we can share that Ellie will be returning to Cedar Falls Tomorrow! After 9 days of bed rest her skin graft took and they said it looked good.  They were able to put a cast on up to her knee and she is now in a hindged brace.  She’s spent yesterday afternoon and a large portion of this morning doing therapy.  She will be utilizing a wheel chair, crutches and if necessary a walker to be mobile during the next two weeks.  She will be non-weight barring for two weeks and we will return to Mayo to get fitted for another brace in hopes that will help with her mobility when she eventually gets back to school.  

They did do an MRI of her knee today to assess next steps with it and she was able to watch a movie during it with headphones.  13 going on 30.
