Here it is April 9the and I just learned of Ellie's passing. I am so sorry. What a wonderful woman. I've only come to know her in the last couple of years as we live in San Joaquin Gardens together. I had known her only in the sense of her family -- her very musical family! (Also, I'd known Gene a little having taken an independent study English course from him). So, I didn't know of her very full and meaningful life -- except she was that same special personality to the end. She was such an endearing personality, full of life and fun with a twinkle in her eye. I am missing her in my life.
