Ella was born at exactly 23 weeks. Due to a placental abruption I had to have an emergency C-section.  She was 1 lb 3.8 ounces and 11 inches long❤️

Time has flown by we can't believe Ella  turned on July 18th. She has been doing so well its hard to believe what life was like a year ago. Ella is moving all over and pulling herself to stand! She is still a peanut (3rd percentile for weight & not on the growth chart for height).  Her feeding is getting better with time and patience  (lots of patience). She might be getting tubes for middle ear fluid within the next couple of months.  Of course we  hope to make it through the winter with out any BPD flare ups! We are so happy with her progress.

Ella has  such a sweet and calm demeanor.  We just feel like the luckiest parents on the planet! She loves lots cuddles and smooches, you would never know she was only held a few times the first couple months of her life.

We are so excited Ella has the privilege to be part of the Pints  for Preemies Campaign ( Ella and I both needed blood transfusions last year)!
