Elizabeth’s Story

Site created on November 19, 2018

Welcome to Lizzy's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

Lizzy is a beautiful, caring, and sweet 10-year old girl. She was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and is undergoing weekly chemotherapy which requires her to miss school, chorus, and dancing in the Nutcracker. Although Lizzy's usual routine is put on hold while her health and treatment come first, she is still trying to be a normal 5th grader who teases her little sister, Georgia, and who loves to dance and play. Lizzy and her family are overwhelmed with the love and support from family and friends and are so appreciative of all of their efforts to help them through this trying time.

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Please be advised that monetary tributes to Caringbridge do not benefit Elizabeth. If you would like to support Elizabeth, please see the Gofundme page on the Ways to Help tab. Thank you for visiting.

Journal entry by Andrea Rice

Last night Lizzy and the Red Cross held a blood drive at Bridge Valley Elementary School.  A contribution of 99 components of blood will serve patients in our local hospitals. Thanks to the faculty, parents, and community members for giving their time and life saving donation. Thanks to the Girl Scouts for making our night a little sweeter by donating cookies!
