Elizabeth (Libby)’s Story

Site created on March 11, 2018

For those who know, Mom has had 2 previous cancer bouts and was recently diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer after 25 years of being cancer-free.  Thus, round 3 begins.   We will be updating as we get more information and as her treatments progress.   Bottom line - she wants everything to remain as normal as possible and has said "no matter what happens.. God is in control...and I am at peace with this because I'm in good hands!"   Thank you for caring for and loving my mother! - Love, Jackie

Journal entry by Jackie Amick

The third chemo treatment was yesterday.  Mom is feeling better than she expected, and for that we are extremely grateful!  She is keeping her strength up by taking it easy when she feels tired.  If you talk with her on the phone, you'd never know she was battling this.  She is such an inspiration to all of us and what a great testimony to faith and strength.

Next week will be a week off from the chemo - then another week to determine next steps.

We appreciate the continued prayers and well-wishes.   The daily devo today spoke directly to our hearts today - it was entited "A Double Promise" and concluded with "This is the double promise we have - the hope of deliverance one day, plus the provision of His comfort, strength, and shelter throughout our lives."
