Journal entry by Shannon Frankosky

With the help of many friends, family, and folks she works with, Elissa has moved into her new digs. It was a really long day, especially for the “young ones” - Jay, Meredith, Maggie, and Danny. They put in a lot of time before, and the day of the move. They also provided emotional support for their mama throughout the day. It was evident how much love everyone had for Elissa.

We were masked (especially important when visiting Elissa) throughout the day, windows were open, and we tried to work in different rooms.

Our dear friend Cheryl has turned her Air BNB  into a rental for Elissa. It is pretty darn perfect.

Every window has the kind of view you’d want to wake up to.  As soon as she lifts her head from her pillow, she can stare out at a stand of Birch trees, native grasses, and bluebird houses. (Winnie especially likes the birds)

When she walks into the living room, she’ll see a small pond, a beautiful field....(and Winnie, sitting in her favorite chair.)

I came over for coffee this morning before Melinda whisked her away to treatment. We bundled up, and walked Winnie around one of the many trails on the property. It is such a serene location.

We got most of her things placed where they need to be. I’m sure she’ll be calling us to find out where we put her belongings.

What’s next? How can you share the love? Well, mail/deliveries can be sent to -

785 Skyline Dr
Lehighton PA 18325

How can local people help? Easy peasy.  Provide a meal.
Here’s the link for signup, which will also tell you a bit about what Elissa likes to eat.

Ps- take a look at the photos!
