A note from Momma Cindy...

Elisha was very active the first hour today. Exercising her left leg. She had her left hand on the trach dome, moving it off, holding it for about two or three minutes. Later she had her right hand around the trach tubing at the dome! I don’t know if she’s doing abdominal crunches but she puts her knee almost up to her chest and lifts her head off the pillow at the same time and then holds it. I think that’s what she’s doing! Respiratory Therapist capped her trach dome for 5 minutes. She tolerated just beautifully. 🙌 She will try to get an order from the doctor to do a trial dome capping tomorrow. Right now she’s exhaling through her nose and mouth. When they put the dome cap on she will also be inhaling through her nose and mouth! It’s a big deal! Praise God! 😊 Occupational Therapy came in. Elisha did not follow commands the first time she asked her to squeeze her hand. She talked about the need for consistency. I asked her a bunch of questions and then she grabbed Elisha’s hand again and said “squeeze my hand” and Elisha did! Soon after she fell asleep and was snoring. ❤️🙏🏻😘 Prayer warriors outside. Another glorious day in the miracles of God! 🙏🏻
