Wow! Eric. Wow! Please keep writing. You tell it beautifully. We are all there pulling for you. I understand. My own loss of physical abilities has made my heart ache. You tell so many of our stories so eloquently. Keep climbing.

Tony and I have been there, too. And, you will get through this. Someday it will just be an awful memory, save the effects of chemo, but, never forget that prayer, hope and Maria (what a wonderful woman you have) will get you through this better than all of the medications. It is what works for most and it worked for us. Keep the faith and remember we are all praying for you! Cousins Kris and Tony

Eric, been thinking about ya and our time on the ice together. You are definitely an inspiration and let me know what you need or how I can support. Sending you and your loved ones all the best energy and meditations.

Eric, this is a remarkable post--and I thank you for sharing your journey up to this point in time. I know from both your dad's and Larry's journey's that the ability to focus on the short term goals is crucial...to get through those treatment goalposts is a big deal because it means the next one is probably attainable. You have an incredible amount to strength to do this--and in ways it is another journey of survival and expedition--with unanticipated sidebars along the way. Know that the family is there every step of the way with you and sending lots of positive energy your's , Maria's and the kids' direction. Much love, Aunt Mimi

Beautiful Eric. Please remember in those quiet moments of personal hell, there ARE those of us who are lighting candles for you. We are pulling for all four of you, praying you have the daily mental capacity to stay in there. The gift of living outside for so much of your life is that it has given you so much perspective and experience to draw on. You know the depth of your strength because of all you have done. See yourself out there again (with clean underwear)🥰

All right, you need strength and power, I am trying to send it to you . I will talk to the stars tonight and ask them to energize you. I tell the Earth beneath you feet to shoot up good vibes. I 'll even wish for a little earthquake to send even superpowers. Keep it going bud...

Eric,

Remember how you told me Lonnie, once, through your skis to the far side of a lead. It meant you were getting across that frigid water no matter what. That bit of wisdom has always stayed with me. I guess it's like you said; " having no other choice". You're committed now and F#%&$#^G getting across!

You have always inspired me and now more than ever. Small goals, small victories, and like they say in SOF community; "Scan and Breath" and "Slow is Fast".

I love u buddy, and you're coming paddling from Wpg to the Hudson Bay with me. Looking at starting May 2022, we can move the dates around a bit for you.

All the best my friend
