Memorial Announcement

A memorial service giving thanks for the life of Eldon Roy Stoltzfus will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, in the sanctuary at Waterford Mennonite Church.  A photo history of Eldon’s life, accompanied by music that he requested, will begin at 10:15.

For our friends and family near and far who cannot attend in person, a link will be available for streaming and recorded for watching later.  Memorial gifts may be given to Anabaptist Disabilities Network or Mennonite Central Committee.  

Elkhart County Covid incidence is high but decreasing.  We hope that incidence will continue to lower in these weeks before the memorial. However, at this time, we ask attenders wear face coverings, and if you have not been vaccinated, maintain social distancing.  

We invite all who attend to join in a light picnic lunch and story-telling time afterwards. Bring lawn chairs if you can.

Eldon’s ashes will be spread in a brief service prior to the memorial.  At Eldon’s request, our Indiana Stoltzfus family will gather with his siblings and their families at Milburn Landing State Park on the Eastern Shore of Maryland on August 21, to release ashes and share their memories of him.  

Thank you to all of you who have reached out to me and our family over these last months.  Your love has meant so much!
