Journal entry by Eileen Fitzenreiter —
We received good news from the oncologist this week! The Pet Scan I had showed significant reduction in the size of the mass in my lung, no activity in the 2 ribs that are affected, lessened activity on several other spots in my spine and bones, and NO new activity. All encouraging things!! That result will probably allow me to continue on this treatment for several months. We are relieved because it avoids the adjustments to a new set of Chemo meds ( and side affects). An MRI will be done on my brain in a couple weeks after they think the inflammation from the radiation is gone. Your continued prayers for a good report there too will be appreciated!
I continue to feel quite well, working everyday, and doing some day trips to meet with people- which is the BEST part of my job! I thank God continuously for allowing me to be able to follow up with the plans people have started and that we need to finish.
We welcome the spring and all it's wonderful rebirth .......and again, thank God for each day He gives us the strength and privilege to enjoy it all!
The mail used to be something I'd rather skip because it was mostly bills and advertisements. NOW- each day- there is a continuous message of encouragement from so many of you. Thank you for being so faithfully thoughtful. Through you all, God sends us just the right message, for just that we need to hear that day of this journey. Thank God and Thank you for being such a blessing and support to us!!
We do walk each day with God holding our hands! All we need to do is:
"Be still, and know that I am God"
Bless you all!
