Hi there Ed, I had no idea you were so unwell. I hope that the family can pass this message to you. Please know that I have the highest respect that I can even describe, as well as love for you.
You changed the dynamics of Celtic cultures across oceans - yourself and Jo coming so often to Celtic Connections in those early years built bridges that I know will last for ever. That changed cultural landscapes and for the first time opened the doors to genuinely connecting the Celtic Cultures of these strange Islands that are so historically relevant to communities in the US. You supported Scotland in all our ideas and strategies and are a huge part of where we are now. Personally your wise owl"ness" and all encompassing generosity enabled us to deliver the first ever version of 'the visit' That saw so many of your Irish community embracing Scotland and realised a large increase in Scottish artist touring the US., I know from our many conversations that you and I both understand how precious heritage is and how important it is that it continues to evolve. It can only evolve with passion, energy, belief and spirit - and with individuals who drive that. Thank you my friend. I truly love you. Lisa x

Though we’ve lost touch over the years and just found out about your health, we wanted you to know we’re thinking of you, keeping you in our prayers and fondly remembering the good old days at Kit’s, Derry’s and IrishFest. The posts have been a trip down memory lane. Love you!
