Most Precious Basler Family,
My heart is full of sadness for you. I know your loss is beyond words. I am so comforted by this scripture, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Psalm 116: 15 Surely there was much jubilant shouting and dancing at Eddie's entrance into heaven. I am confident that the Lord's presence will be so strong and beautiful at his service. I am in Oregon with Jared's family and we will be with you in the Spirit today. We actually are only a breath away from eternity ourselves. May God give you renewed strength and rest. You too have fought hard and have been valiant soldiers for the King and His kingdom. God bless you richly. Thank you for being a shining example to me. In Him, Janie, Mary Jane Utterback
Oh the post we never want to read, as we give our love to you all. He surely fought the good fight, such a man of love, integrity and dedication to all he did and people he encountered. Truly one of a kind whom we will always hold in our hearts. He surely was a friend from the start back in 1976. The celebration of life will honor him in all he was, a wonderful man.God bless you all. And thank you for sharing and keeping us in your journey this past year. Xo
Ed has a big heart. He always encouraged me. Love to all his family. I first met him at a Navigator training program in the summer of 1971 in Madison, Wisconsin. We hit it off with friendship and fellowship from the start.
I know your dear Dad’s welcome in heaven has been joyous as he lived his life in service to others and with such a generous spirit
Will be there in spirit as you celebrate his truly amazing life
Deepest love and prayers for fortitude and acceptance you all as you adjust to this enormous loss.
Incredible tribute to Ed!!! I was truly encouraged and very personally challenged to live a life "souled out"!
