Journal entry by Angie Groseclose —
On Saturday, May 22, Dylan was taken to the ER of St. Jude's hospital feeling physically drained, running a temp, and other symptoms. Tuesday, May 25, Dylan was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). This Leukemia affects Dylan's ability to produce mature blood cells and also impacts his bone marrow.
After 3 days at St. Jude's his doctors determined it was best for him to be transferred to USC Keck Hospital. As of this post, Dylan has received his first Chemo blast. He will remain there for at least one month with NO visitors due to no immune system. No plants and flowers are allowed but you can send him a card or you can drop off at the Duran's home.
We ask that you keep him in daily prayer, we know this is a hard journey but we also know God's promises. We are clinging to a verse in the Bible: Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you", declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
We thank you for the love you have for our Mijo.
