I went to high school with Dan and ran cross country with him. We lost touch after graduation but will never forget his infectious smile and spirit. He was a leader and a friend to so many.
Sadly I was not able to make Dan's service. However, I heard not only of the amazing turn out and show of love and support, but the words spoken on Dan's behalf that moved everyone in attendance.
I have read all of your posts since the inception of this site, and have prayed regularly for you, Dan, Collin, Casey and the entire family. My prayers were and will continue to be for healing, strength and courage. You have a gift for writing- your updates were filled with passion, love and inspiration. Thank you for taking the time during Dan's battle to update us all and to share a glimpse into the life you were so courageously leading.
Please take comfort in knowing that Dan touched and impacted so many lives and will never be forgotten.

Very well said, Kellie. I have to stop reading these Caring Bridge entries at work as people keep looking at me funny as I sit and read and cry at my desk. Your and Dan's attitude (along with the rest of your wonderful family) during his 3 year battle was truly an inspiration.
My family is sorry we could not make it down from Wisconsin to Dan's Celebration of Life yesterday but please know that you, Collin and Casey, Dan and the rest of your family were in our prayers all weekend all will continue to be.
