Oh, Duane, THANK YOU for your honesty, your truth-telling, your courage! It is shit what you had to go through - and such a life-changing game-changing hairpin turn. I'm thanking God you got through it. Thanking God for Jen and her wisdom and love. Thanking God for your recovery (and my own) and for the eye-opening, heart-opening that comes from being on the other side of almost tasting death. There is nothing like embracing life when you've come that close. Bless you for this.

Being your older sister and like a second mom at times...just need to say a few words. Going back to your childhood at about 10-12 😊, you were a bit ornery, a teaser, etc, (haha) but slowly grew out of it (just had to put some humor in it) never thinking you would grow up to be the man you are today...a wonderful brother, dad, uncle, etc.
I am very proud of you, your strenth, your endurance, your positivity, in every way you’ve handled it all through this horrible disease that you’ve been handed.
If I could change it I would, just know...

Because God chose you as a model to show all of us how it is to be done and how to do what is right when things don't always go the 'correct' way. At least that's how I feel - for someone else it may be different. I look at you now Duane and see a different person. Nothing bad, just different - and I mean different for a good - a GREAT - reason! You were faced with a big challenge, one that I am not sure I could've handled with such inner strength and determination, and beat its ass! When we first met (shhhh years ago), I always thought of you as my twin brother for obvious reasons. Now you are teaching me about myself in ways one could never imagine! Love you big boy!
