I was a patient of Dr. Woody Kennedy. (2008-2011) I don't have to tell you what an incredible man and surgeon he was. It was obvious to us that he loved his family so dearly and was so proud. I honestly feel like he treated his patients as if they were family. It's rare to come across a surgeon such as Woody Kennedy. It was during a horrible time that God must have sent us to him. It's hard to remember the number of surgeries, but his determination, dedication, inspiration and incredible gift got me through a horrible time. I might have been a challenge but he took up the challenge and I'm so thankful that he did. Prayers for you all. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I don't have to tell you what an incredible man and surgeon that he was because I'm sure that you already know.💔

(a former patient )
My rhoughts and prayers are with you all. Thank you for keeping us informed throughout this difficult journey. He was larger than life, always coming in with a big smile and ready to go. You would hear him before you saw him. One of the happiest, jolliest.smiling and laughing Dr's at Plaza. He will be greatly missed
That was one of the most beautiful obituaries that I have ever read. Woody did surgery on me but he really helped me as a resource when I found out I had breast cancer.
There was always great banter when I saw him because I am a Roll Tide girl. But rest assured, I’ll be in blue and orange on the 23rd.
My eyes filled with tears of sadness but also of eternal joy when I read this post
Such a beautiful obituary for such a wonderful man. His smile, laugh and huge personality will be greatly missed. I’m thinking and praying for your entire family.
....such a sweet and loving obituary. I am so thankful I had the honor of knowing him....it just doesnt seem real. Many thoughts and prayers for comfort and peace.... until we see him again!
