Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful tribute Eugenia! Doug was one of the most dedicated and patient mentors I have ever worked with. It does not surprise me that his enthusiasm for learning went well beyond radiology. I have to smile when I think of his love of cycling. During one of his first few years at MCW, he was out for a ride before work and I got a call in the reading room to come rescue him. His seat had broken and he was left with just the stem. Riding standing up for 20 miles was a bit too much and obviously, sitting down was NOT an option. We all miss his calming presence, collegiality, and his giggle with eyes closed. Be assured he is enjoying peaceful rest and is with you always.
