Hello, everyone!

It's been a long time since an update has been posted here. In  April 2021, Dorothy moved to the Josephine Caring Community in Stanwood, WA. The facility has been a good fit for her needs and she's recently been involved in a special project called the Wisdom & Stories Initiative of Josephine Caring Community. According to the project director, "The intention of this project is to capture and honor the memories of our residents and to learn from the wisdom they have acquired throughout their life journey." This article explains the Wisdom & Stories Initiative in more detail.

As part of the project, we're asking Dorothy's friends and loved ones to write a 1-2 page "love letter" to her or a few paragraphs of favorite memories of her, with the purpose of being a keepsake for her and something for her to share with other people. The deadline is Sunday, July 23. Please send your love letters or favorite memories to Dorothy's sister Meredith at mere@djnightmere.com.
