Happy holidays! I had what should be my final surgery today to remove the chemo port. Compared to most of the other things I've had done, this one was fairly easy. Although I apparently had an abnormal amount of scar tissue built up around the port that had to be removed before the doctor could actually take out the port itself. I was surprised at how big it was. It looked a bit like a mouse (the animal, not the computer accessory). With any luck, this should be it for my treatment, other than a lifetime of periodic checks to make nothing comes back. Thank you to everyone for your care and support. It really helped. I wish you health, hope, love, and much cheer as we close out 2021 and begin 2022. May this next year be easier and happier than the last one.
