Just a note to tell you that Don and my brother-in-law, Henry Van Roekel went in the Army together in 1957. The Army promised them that they would always be together after they enlisted. Don was sent to Germany. Henry was sent to Altimeaska They were in service during peace After serving three years they both came back to Oskaloosa and became good friends.

Our prayers and sympathy to you Sara - we always enjoyed our visits with your dad when he came in. He was so proud of you!!!

You were a gracious daughter to tell your dad it was OK to go…he is now done with all of this, and happy…but our thoughts and prayers are now with you as you navigate this new “normal”.
